Manager Technical Operations & Application Engineering (Europe)

Job Description

Lead the Support Team, Application Engineers, and the overall technical workflow within the 3D Digitizing division across Europe.
Ensure high-quality customer support, efficient technical service delivery, and continuous improvement of technical operations.
Manage and develop a team of technical professionals, including recruitment, training, performance management, and career development.
Oversee pre-sales and post-sales technical activities, including installations, training, demonstrations, troubleshooting, and maintenance across the region.
Develop and implement technical service standards, processes, and best practices to ensure consistent service quality.
Coordinate with R&D and product teams to provide technical feedback and drive product improvements based on customer insights.
Manage technical resources, including spare parts inventory, service tools, and equipment, to ensure operational efficiency.
Represent SHINING 3D at technical conferences, industry events, and customer meetings as the senior technical authority.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop technical strategies that support business growth and customer satisfaction.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in technical operations, application engineering, or related roles, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership position.
Strong background in 3D scanning, inspection, CAD/CAM, or industrial metrology.
Proven track record in leading technical teams and managing complex technical operations in a multinational environment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in English and German (additional European languages are a plus).
Willingness to travel as required.
