SHINING 3D is proud to announce the launch of  FreeScan Combo+ Wireless, the latest evolution of our combo family. Building on the proven capabilities of the FreeScan Combo Series platform, the new wireless solution delivers greater freedom of movement, a more streamlined scanning experience, and enhanced flexibility for demanding inspection workflows.

The most significant upgrade of FreeScan Combo+ Wireless is its wireless capability, driven by the next-generation Wi-Fi 7 protocol. It delivers fast and stable wireless data transmission, ensuring seamless performance across complex factory floors and challenging outdoor environments. Powered by rechargeable batteries, the high-capacity battery supports up to 2 hours of continuous scanning. 


Whether inspecting large automotive components, industrial machinery, castings, or other complex parts, FreeScan Combo+ Wireless is designed to make high-precision 3D inspection easier to perform wherever the inspection takes place.

Built-in Photogrammetry for Reliable Large-Scale Inspection

For large parts and demanding inspection tasks, maintaining global accuracy with minimum accumulated error is critical. FreeScan Combo+ Wireless is now integrated with SHINING 3D‘s patent Video Photogrammetry (VPG) Technology.

This allows operators to easily capture large-scale frameworks using scale bars, maintaining optimized volumetric accuracy before seamlessly transitioning to laser scanning. This integrated approach helps simplify the inspection setup while supporting applications where both global accuracy and detailed surface data are essential.

Faster Scanning for More Efficient Data Acquisition

FreeScan Combo+ Wireless also delivers a significant boost in laser scanning efficiency. In High-Speed Scan Mode, the system now features 93 laser lines, enabling more surface data to be captured with each pass. For applications requiring greater detail, Detailed Scan Mode has now been upgraded to 25 parallel laser lines, providing a balance between scanning efficiency and detailed data acquisition.

With a scanning frame rate of up to 180 FPS, it can capture 3D data rapidly while maintaining a smooth scanning experience. These enhancements are especially valuable for inspection workflows involving large surfaces, complex components, or high-volume measurement tasks, where scanning efficiency can directly impact overall inspection productivity.

Beyond data acquisition, FreeScan Combo+ Wireless is designed to connect scanning more seamlessly with downstream inspection workflows. Its scanning software introduces AI Recognition function, which can automatically recognize holes during the scanning process. Once scanning is complete, users can switch to inspection software with a single click, extending the workflow from 3D data capture to advanced inspection and analysis. This enables further analysis, such as 3D color map comparison, GD&T analysis, and sheet metal inspection.
