Application Engineer - Metrology

Base: Hong Kong/Malaysia

Job Description

Perform installation, training, demo and support for customers, both in-house and on-site. Support sales team through sales process, providing product recommendations for customer applications that enhance their business efficiency.
Stay updated with competitor information and market trend.
Cooperate with sales team to identify potential leads and opportunities.
Serve as SHINING 3D primary point of technical contact for handling troubleshooting, maintenance, and service.
Represent SHINING 3D at webinars, virtual events and in-person trade shows when applicable.
Deliver high‑precision 3D scanning solutions for industrial metrology applications supporting customers across Hong Kong and Malaysia.
Travel required up to 40%–50% to support above listed responsibilities.

Prefer a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in the areas of metrology, engineering, manufacturing or quality control.
A minimum of 2 years of technical related experience (Having experience of 3D scanner, CMM, CAD/CAM or metrology software is a plus).
Ability to interpret engineering drawings for dimensional control requirements. GD&T experience is a plus.
Professional demeanor and confidence in presenting to a group of people.
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and alongside SHINING 3D management and sales team.
Proficiency in English (Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus).
