Bringing 3D Metrology Inspection Software into Skills Assessment

A key part of the renewed partnership is the application of high-precision 3D metrology inspection software in skills assessment. 

SHINING3D Inspect, our PTB-certified industrial 3D inspection software, has been officially adopted as a scoring and evaluation tool for several skill competitions. By automatically comparing the 3D scan data of competitor’s workpieces with standard CAD models, the software generates intuitive color deviation maps and detailed dimensional reports. This provides judges with objective, measurable data to support the assessment of dimensional accuracy, making the evaluation process more consistent and transparent. 

The use of digital inspection technology also demonstrates how tools developed for industrial applications can be applied in skills competitions, connecting competition standards with the technologies used in today's manufacturing environment.
