Dental Prosthetics Officially Approved as a New Competition Skill for WorldSkills Shanghai 2026

SHINING 3D marks a new milestone at WorldSkills that Dental Prosthetics becomes an official competition skill for WorldSkills Shanghai 2026

The WorldSkills General Assembly Dubrovnik 2025 took place from October 12 to 17 in Dubrovnik, Croatia, marking the 75th anniversary of WorldSkills International. As a Global Industry Partner of WorldSkills International, SHINING 3D was invited to attend the conference, represented by Sunny Wong, GM of the International Business.

The global gathering brought together more than 350 representatives from member countries, partners, and industry experts to explore future skills trends and prepare for the upcoming WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 competition. 

 

Dental Prosthetics Officially Approved as a New Competition Skill

A major highlight of this year’s conference was the official inclusion of “Dental Prosthetics” as a new competition skill for WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, a proposal initiated and led by SHINING 3D earlier this year.

Each WorldSkills competition reflects the latest industrial and technological developments. New skills are carefully evaluated and introduced to align with global trends and industry needs. The addition of Dental Prosthetics underscores the rapid digital transformation of the global dental industry, marking the first time that digital dental technology has been recognized as an independent skill category in WorldSkills history.
