Account Manager (Chicago/Detroit)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Generate sales revenues by performing product demonstrations at selected customer sites. Evaluate customer requirements for this purpose, including installation location, mounting requirements, customer engineering drawings, CAD/CAM data, inspection plans and rapid prototyping requirements.

2. Develop a complete and expert knowledge of Shining 3D’s hardware and software products to demonstrate products to key individuals and organizations for marketing and sales purposes (trade shows, engineering associations, etc.)

3. Identify additional sales opportunities outside of traditional channels.

4. Utilize all available resources including sales management, Inside Sales Specialists, Applications Engineers, marketing and others to advance and close sales.

5. Work as part of the sales team to generate ideas for company sales opportunities, processes and systems.

6. Act as point of contact and provide technical support to potential customers during the evaluation period

7. Effectively communicate recommendations for hardware and software changes to Applications Engineers and R&D as requested by customers.

8. Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales performance goals as required.

Requirements:

1. Knowledge of CAD.

2. Ability to work independently, travel extensively within territory.

3. Bachelor’s degree in the mechanical engineering discipline strongly preferred or related engineering degree preferred.

4. Background in automotive, aerospace, power generation, metalworking, machinery, etc.

5. 3D scanner, 3D printer, lasers and quality control, familiarity with 3D productions - experience selling 3D related products a strong plus.

6. Demonstrated ability to isolate and identify technical problems, formulate and demonstrate solutions.
